How do I share assessments to Google Classroom?

This is a feature available to Chalk Gold subscribers. You will not have this option if you are a free user.

If you have linked your subject and students to an existing Google Classroom, you will be able to share an assessment you've created in the Gradebook as an assignment in Google Classroom, and can send your grades directly to students. This support article will show you how to share an assessment to Google Classroom.

Step 1:

Navigate to the Assessments page for your class in the Gradebook. From here you have three options for how to send an existing assessment to Google Classroom.

Option 1:

Hover your cursor over an assessment and click the three-dots menu that appears, then click Share in Google.

Option 2:

Open the assessment's settings by hovering your cursor over the assessment and clicking the gear icon.

From the assessment settings window, click the Post Assignment button.

Option 3:

Click on an assessment to be taken to its grading page. From here you can click Share in Google in the top-right corner.

Step 2:

All above options will open the "Share Assessment to Google Classroom" window. From here you can edit the name, "out of" marks, due date, instructions and select attachments from your assessment to be posted to Google Classroom. Click Publish when done.

Step 3:

Your assignment has been posted to Google Classroom!

You can click the View button to be taken to its page in Google Classroom.

Step 4:

If you would like to add more attachments or edit the grade category, topic, assigned students, or due date, you can open the three-dots menu in Google Classroom and click Edit. Please note that you cannot make changes to these options from Chalk.
