How do I search curriculum maps by tag or keyword?

This is part of ourĀ Curriculum Solution. You will not have this option if you are a free user.

Admins, curriculum developers and teachers can search through their curriculum maps by content keyword or unit tags. Unit tags are set by the curriculum creators to group curriculum maps by shared topics. A keyword search will display all results for particular words or short phrases within the curriculum map titles, unit titles, and any content fields within the curriculum map.

You can use the keyword and tag search to align your curriculum not just from a standards perspective but from a curricular content & skill perspective as well. Here is how to use the keyword and tag search:

Step 1:

From the main Curriculum app view, you can type into the search bar to see the following:

  1. The search field. Type here to see your available options.
  2. The option at the top will be for keyword search. You can search for single words or short phrases.
  3. The remaining options will be for tag search. Tag results will not display as an option if there are no results for your search term.

Tag Search:

Clicking on an available tag option will display results for all curriculum maps that have that particular tag used by the curriculum creator. You can search for multiple tags to narrow your results if you are looking for specific curriculum map (for example, "math" and "grade 3"). You can also use the drop-down menus under the search bar to filter by Publish Status or by Recent Activity.

Keyword Search:

Clicking the Search for keywords option will display results for curriculum maps that contain that search phrase in the curriculum map title, unit titles, or any content fields within the curriculum map. Matching unit content will be highlighted for visibility.

On the Curriculum app homepage, matching keywords will be highlighted in curriculum map titles or within the unit titles of selected curriculum maps, as seen here:

Viewing a curriculum map will continue to highlight results for your keyword search in the unit titles and unit content, as seen here:

Using the keyword search while comparing curriculums will highlight results in all viewed maps, which is useful for determining if the appropriate content is being covered. You can see how the curriculum comparison view looks here:
