How do I add a description to a field in a Curriculum Map Template?

Adding a description to a field can provide guidance to Curriculum Writers as they work on a map, helping them understand the purpose of each field. This article is an overview of how to add a description to a field.

Add field descriptions to a draft of a Curriculum Map Template

Step 1: 

In Curriculum, click the Templates option from the left sidebar.

Step 2: 

Select the template for which you would like to add a description in the fields.

Step 3: 

Once you have located the field in which you want to add in a description, click the Add button in the Field Description section.

Step 4: 

Add a description for that field. 

Note: This description will be displayed in a Curriculum Map ONLY, and not within the Planboard unit content. 

Step 5: 

Click the Publish button once you are ready. 

Once a new Curriculum Map is created with this template, the description field will look something like this:

Step 1: 

In Curriculum, click the Templates option from the left sidebar.

Select the template for which you would like to add a description in the fields.

Step 3: 

Click Create Draft in the template header.

Step 4: 

Once you have located the field in which you want to add in a description, click the Add button in the Field Description section.

Step 5: 

Add a description for that field. 

Note: This description will be displayed in a Curriculum Map ONLY, and not within the Planboard unit content. 

Step 6: 

Click the Publish button once you are ready.

Note: Publishing a Curriculum Map Template will not update existing Curriculum Maps. Contact support@chalk.com if you would like to update existing Curriculum Maps with the updated template you published.
