Why do I get an error message when trying to save my lesson?

Sometimes if you copy and paste a lesson from other sources, it may contain special characters not recognized by the database.

This often occurs with math or science equations.  If you remove these equations from your lesson and retype them as normal font in the text editor, you will be able to save your lesson.

If you receive an error that your lesson is "too large", it may be because you are pasting html content into the lesson editor. This commonly happens if you are copying and pasting from online sources. Html content can take up a deceptive amount of space--a sentence of text can contain thousands of lines of html code! It is recommended to use the "paste without formatting" options (Ctrl+Shift+V on Windows, Cmd+ Shift+V on Mac) when copying from websites to prevent the pasting of html content into the lesson editor.
