How do I import lessons into Planboard from Resources?

This article will help you import saved or shared lesson plans from Resources into your Planboard!

Note: Sharing with your peers is only a feature if your school has a paid Solution subscription with Chalk. Otherwise you will be importing lessons from your own saved lesson plans.

Step 1:

Click the Resources button in the menu bar at the top of the page. You can also access this page by clicking the Import button from within the lesson editor.

Step 2:

Once in Resources, you can search for your lessons in a few different places. By selecting your Groups, you will view lessons shared within your District or School that you belong to as a whole. You can select “Everything” to see all lessons you have access to, “Shared with me” to see lessons shared directly to you, or search by selecting the Groups that you belong to.

Step 3:

Once you’ve found the lesson plan or lesson group you’re looking to import, more information will appear about the lesson on the right-hand side of the screen. This will tell you who the lesson has been shared with, the title and allow you to preview the lesson before you import it.

Select Import on the lesson plan.

Step 4:

Choose the calendar date of the lesson plan in Planboard you would like to import the shared lesson to.

Step 5:

Select the subject or section that you would like to import the lesson plan to.

Step 6:

If your target lesson plan is currently empty, you will skip to the next step. If the lesson date you are importing to already has content, you will need to decide whether you would like to append, shift or overwrite the current content on that date.

Append will add your imported lesson content after the existing content in your target lesson. Shift will move the content and all of the future content for that subject or section forward one day. Overwrite will replace the content in your Planboard for that date and subject, which will delete the content already there and cannot be undone.

After making your selection, click Confirm.

Step 7:

You’re done! A confirmation window will appear, and you can click View It Now to be taken to the imported lesson in Planboard.

Step 1:

From the Day View or from within editing a lesson, open the options menu and select the Import Lesson option.
