How do I save a lesson plan to Resources?

Your Resources application acts as storage for lesson plans and other content that you may wish to save for future use. To save a lesson plan to Resources is an easy process that takes a few minutes.

Step 1:

Open up your Planboard page to the lesson you wish to save. For example, as shown below, I would like to save the lesson from Thursday, February 18 in my Grade 3 Math class.

Step 2:

Click on the Share button located beside the name of your lesson plan.

Step 3:

In the pop-up window where it says Enter emails, type the email address that is associated with your own Chalk account.

Select your email once it appears in the drop-down box.

Helpful Tip: For easy organizing within Resources, add tags to your lessons before sharing. You will be able to search by tags to effectively sort your lessons. You can edit the tags when sharing your lessons, or when editing your shared lessons in Resources.

Step 4:

Click the Share button to save this document to your Resources.

Step 5:

You will receive this notification on the bottom left corner of your browser window to let you know that your lesson plan has now been saved to your resources.

Note: It will say it has been "shared", but it has only been shared with you.

Step 6:

You can now access your saved lesson plan by clicking Resources in the menu at the top of the page.

This will redirect you to your Resources page where you will find your newly saved lesson plan.
