How do I set a school’s Conversation settings?

As an admin, you can establish how a conversation between teachers and their students or guardians are handled in Chalk.

Step 1: 

Select the Settings option in the Admin Menu. 

Step 2: 

Select the Conversation option under the Settings tab, as shown in the screenshot above. 

Step 3:

When it comes to Conversation settings, you have two options that you can toggle on or off for the entire school:

  • Students can create posts and comment
  • Guardians can create posts and comment

Note: If you have enabled commenting and posting for students or guardians, teachers have the option to disable posting and commenting for their class or for an individual student/guardian. If you have disabled students or guardians in a school from posting and commenting, teachers will not be able to enable that option for their students or guardians.
